Senior Financial Accountant
The Senior Financial Accountant contributes to the Finance team by supporting global accounting and tax compliance, enhancing financial processes, and ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant reporting across King Living’s international operations.
Working closely with the SO Finance Controller and Finance Manager, this role supports statutory and tax compliance, financial reporting, audits, and cash flow activities while driving efficiency, transparency, and continuous improvement within the accounting function.
Core Responsibilities
Statutory Accounting & Global Compliance
Assist in day-to-day global accounting operations and continuous improvement of the accounting function.
Prepare accurate and compliant statutory financial reporting for King Living and related entities globally, including group consolidations.
Maintain accounting records according to King Living policies, chart of accounts, and relevant accounting standards; reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to update schedules, procedures, and systems, ensuring timely and informative reporting.
Complete balance sheet reconciliations promptly and maintain Blackline reconciliations for group entities.
Prepare clear management reports with narratives for finance reviews.
Drive continuous improvement of processes, controls, and system automation to enhance efficiency and value.
Assess and implement accounting standard changes, providing professional advice on treatment and implementation.
Support annual global audits and liaise with audit partners to recommend improvements to audit policies and procedures.
Prepare month-end journals, prepayments, and accruals.
Tax
Maintain monthly, quarterly and yearly routines to ensure compliance with tax obligations.
Support global tax compliance, including Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, BAS, GST, PST, WHT, FBT, and other relevant taxes.
Assist with annual tax provisions, calculations, and payments globally.
Perform routine transfer pricing calculations and documentation.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the tax function through enhanced procedures and documentation.
Others
Provide guidance and mentoring to team members to enhance knowledge and effectiveness.
Support the SO Finance Controller in identifying and implementing process improvements.
Assist with payroll expense analysis and campaign incentive calculations.
Support new market expansion, including corporate registration, financial system setup, and outsourcing selection.
Support implementation and integration of new accounting systems.
Complete government statistical compliance and other survey forms.
Assist in preparation of sustainability reporting requirements.
Perform other ad-hoc duties and projects as directed.
Capabilities
CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years post-qualification experience in accounting/audit roles within a multinational corporation or large accounting/audit firm.
Strong understanding of International Accounting Standards, consolidations, foreign currency, and cross-border transactions.
Solid experience in global tax compliance, including transfer pricing, with exposure to Australian and international taxation.
Hands-on, technically strong, with experience in best practice accounting, systems, and governance.
Proficient in large ERP systems (preferably SAP) and advanced Excel.
Knowledge of internal control mechanisms, reporting, and continuous improvement processes.
Ability to analyze complex data and contribute to process improvements.
