Marketing Coordinator
Primary Purpose of the Role
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for:
- Supporting and executing marketing campaigns that drive sales, engagement, and consistent brand presentation across all channels.
Key Result Areas and Responsibilities
A. Marketing Planning
- Assist in developing and executing seasonal and campaign marketing plans aligned with business goals
- Coordinate marketing and promotional calendars to ensure timely delivery of campaigns, store activations and digital initiatives
- Support cross-team collaboration with merchandise, retail and e-commerce to drive engagement and sales
- Source and collate market, competitor and customer insights to inform campaign strategies
- Track campaign performance against agreed KPIs and contribute recommendations for optimisation
- Assist in planning content, assets and promotional materials that showcase the product collections effectively
- Assist with local area marketing planning and execution, including new store openings
- Assist with other tasks and projects, as requested by the Marketing Manager
B. Visual Merchandising
- Support planning and execution of in-store displays, window styling, and seasonal campaigns
- Coordinate the creation, production and distribution of point-of-sale materials, signage, and promotional collateral for retail stores
- Ensure all visual assets align with brand guidelines and campaign messaging
- Assist in rolling out campaigns consistently across all store locations - working with printers and promotional vendors if applicable
- Collaborate with marketing, e-commerce and retail teams to integrate in-store and digital experiences
- Prepare in-store visual merchandising guides and distribute to stores, as required
- Collect feedback to inform future visual merchandising strategies
C. E-commerce
- Coordinate digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, paid ads, and social media promotions, to drive website traffic, engagement and sales
- Collaborate with the e-commerce team to implement seasonal campaigns, product launches, and online promotions, ensuring consistency with brand messaging and in-store marketing
- Monitor online sales performance, website analytics, and customer behavior to provide insights and recommendations for improving conversion rates and user experience
- Assist in content planning for the website, including banners, hero visuals, landing pages, and promotional campaigns
- Coordinate with external agencies, photographers and graphic design / copy teams to produce high-quality digital content for online channels
- Ensure all online campaigns and content are executed on schedule and meet brand standards
- Support ongoing SEO/GEO and website optimization initiatives to enhance product discoverability and improve organic traffic
D. Email
- Assist the Marketing Specialist to plan, create, and execute email marketing campaigns, including promotional, seasonal, and lifecycle emails
- Brief audience segmentation requirements to CRM & Loyalty team
- Collaborate with graphic design / copy teams to design compelling email content, including visuals, copy, and calls-to-action aligned with brand guidelines
- Manage email testing and scheduling
- Monitor and analyse email performance metrics, such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and unsubscribe rates
- Optimise email campaigns based on performance data, A/B testing results and industry best practices
- Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations, privacy laws, and internal data governance policies
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align email campaigns with broader marketing initiatives, promotions and product launches
- Maintain and update email templates, assets and campaign documentation for efficiency and consistency
E. Social Media
- Plan, create and schedule engaging social media content across platforms (eg Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest) to promote brand campaigns
- Collaborate with graphic design / copy teams to develop content (video and static) that aligns with brand guidelines and campaign objectives
- Monitor social media performance metrics, including engagement, reach, impressions, and follower growth, and provide actionable insights
- Respond to customer comments and messages on social platforms in line with brand tone
- Research social media trends, competitors, and audience behavior to inform content strategy and campaign planning
- Support influencer and partnership campaigns, including content coordination, scheduling and performance tracking
- Assist in executing paid social media campaigns, including ad creation, targeting, and monitoring performance
- Maintain a content library, asset management system, and social media calendar to ensure consistent and organized posting
F. Reporting
- Prepare and maintain regular marketing reports, including campaign performance, social media metrics, email marketing results and website analytics
- Track sales performance and campaign ROI, providing insights to inform marketing strategy and optimisation
- Monitor budget spend and report on variances, ensuring campaigns are delivered within allocated resources
- Generate reports on promotional code usage, affiliate activity, and competition participation
- Analyse customer engagement data across channels to support marketing planning and decision-making
- Present key findings and recommendations to internal teams and stakeholders to optimise future campaigns
- Maintain accurate marketing databases and asset libraries for efficient reporting and reference
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by the Marketing Manage
G. Administration
- Monitor and track credit card transactions, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation
- Create promotional codes, update terms and conditions, and ensure compliance with marketing campaigns
- Coordinate competitions and giveaways, including administration, winner notifications, and follow-up
- Manage monthly reconciliation for affiliate programs, including online order cancellations and adjustments
- Source, organize, and manage content for external brand collaborations, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with brand guidelines
Key Skills Qualifications & Experience
Prerequisite Skills:
- Strong organisational and project management skills, coordinating seasonal campaigns, product launches and retail activations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail in campaign execution, marketing assets and in-store promotional materials
- Knowledge of digital marketing, email marketing, e-commerce, visual merchandising and social media channels and metrics relevant to retail
- Analytical skills to interpret sales data, campaign performance, and customer insights to inform marketing decisions
- Proactive, solution-focused approach with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Creative mindset for producing engaging content, storytelling around retail, and trend-led campaigns
- Experience using marketing tools and platforms such as CMS, email marketing systems, analytics dashboards and social scheduling tools
- Ability to work under pressure, meet challenges with solutions and achieve deadlines
Education/Qualifications/Memberships:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications or Marketing, preferred
Preferred Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience in a marketing, digital or communications role
- Experience with marketing tools such as CMS platforms, social media management tools, email marketing systems and analytics dashboards (advantageous)
- Exposure to retail, consumer goods or e-commerce environments desirable
- Experience in product storytelling and retail campaign management highly regarded
