Custodial Accounting Associate
Position Summary
This position is an administrative position handling mainly clerical to administrative work within the department and in a team environment. This position supports most other department positions and requires the person to understand the functions of their position and how it affects the departments workflow and how it affects each person’s actual work
Essential Functions
- Assist with client escalations and resolving Salesforce cases
- Transaction Processing & Reconciliation
- Log payments, reconcile daily transactions, and resolve discrepancies across internal and external accounts.
- Perform plan balancing, direct pay reconciliation, and manage failed debits, ACH, and pre-note processes.
- Contribution & Disbursement Management
- Generate and post payroll contribution reports.
- Process plan funding deposits, ACH transactions, and disbursement/debit adjustments (manual and automated).
- Client & System Support
- Manage client check runs and notifications.
- Handle commuter and consolidated billing transactions.
- Import cleared checks and maintain Flex Register entries.
- Process unclaimed property and direct debit authorization forms.
- Monitor accounting distribution emails and manage incoming mail.
- Support reporting and audit readiness through accurate data entry and reconciliation.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Good customer service skills
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Good attendance
- Good work attitude, adaptability and multi-tasking abilities
- Independent/self-motivated and ability to work in team environment
- Willingness to work outside scheduled work hours as needed, especially during our busy season
