Global Billing Analyst
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role will support activities such as bill generation, plan refreshes and product releases as well as serving as a 2nd level contact point for customer facing billing issues. Our Global business is positioned as a market disruptor with high growth potential, this role will have ample opportunity to drive improvement and learn new products and markets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Billing Run Support
- Ensure monthly billing runs are completed within service levels.
- Identify and fix rating errors.
- Carry out root cause analysis and drive process/system improvement to minimize rating errors.
- Devise and carry out process to generate/transform data to required importable formats.
- Forecast and address process and system-based scalability issues.
Migrations
- Work as a key stakeholder in product and system transitions.
- Carry out analysis and transformation of service and rating data.
- Coordinate internal and external communication of customer impacting changes.
- Devise and carry out side by side analysis to ensure seamless transition.
New Product Implementation
- Work with Billing manager and external billing platform vendor(s) on commercial constructs ensuring best practice and consistent billing across products.
- Work as a key stakeholder in the development of new methods of charging.
- Work as a key stakeholder in the development of new charge feed mediation.
Rate Plan Implementation
- Create and update plans to deliver pricing at both cost and sell.
- Implement pricing refreshes, including changes to prefix lists.
- Drive plan rationalization to improve billing scalability.
- Manage data governance process for rate changes.
Documentation, Process Improvement & Automation
- Document & regularly review internal processes.
- Identify & implement process improvement and automation to improve capability and efficiency.
Reporting
- Devise and implement process and report formats to meet internal requirements.
Customer Support
- Promptly resolve customer queries and escalations.
- Support customers in interpreting wholesale CDRs.
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Support the sales team in onboarding and offboarding customers.
- Ensure on-boarding/offboarding processes are maintained with company/system/product changes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Telco/utility billing experience 5+ years.
- Exceptional attention to detail and experience analysing and transforming complex data sets.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong initiative to drive improvement and automation.
- Familiar with MS Office with advanced Excel skills.
Desirable
- Telco industry experience.
- Billing platform migration experience.
- Experience with prefix mediation of telco CDRs.
- Business analyst experience.
- Experience querying and manipulating data in a relational database.
Working Environment
