Graphic Designer
Primary Purpose of Role
The Graphic Designer is responsible for:
- Designing and producing print and digital marketing material, across multiple retail brands;
- Producing high-quality finished art that adheres to brand guidelines and ensures consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Design Collateral
- Design marketing collateral (i.e. design look & feel, tone, colour, lighting, typography, image style, etc.) across a range of mediums;
- Design and produce in-store POS, store signage and seasonal product guides;
- Design and produce EDMs, digital banners and social media imagery;
- Develop presentation material and maintain brand style guides;
- Liaise with the Senior Graphic Designer and Creative Director to execute seasonal campaigns;
- Assist in styling and directing photography for web shots, social media, EDM and campaign shoots;
- Image retouching for print and web.
Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Work collaboratively with internal teams such as Marketing, Retail Ops and HR to produce collateral that is on brief;
- Interpret brief and seek clarification;
- Manage expectations of internal teams by communicating effectively and providing design solutions where required;
- Ensure accurate planning to meet set deadlines
Key Skills Qualifications & Experience
Prerequisite Skills:
- Sound knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
- Proven experience in preparing digital files for print
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and brands concurrently
- Strong layout and typography skills.
- Ability to work autonomously whilst also being a collaborative team player
- Working knowledge of CSS and HTM
- Experience using front end web development and CMS management systems
- Excellent communication skills
Education/Qualifications/Memberships
- Tertiary qualification in graphic design, digital design, multimedia or equivalent
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to agency or multiple brand work environments
- Experience across a range of digital and print mediums (including POS) in a retail environment.
- A keen interest in fashion and retail design trends is advantageous.
