AI Python Developer
Role Overview
As the first hire on our Agentic team, you will own the design, implementation, and stabilization of the OptiCloud AI multi-agent assistant. You will deliver end-to-end Python microservices, containerized workflows, and seamless LLM integrations to power our agent network.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain Python-based microservices using FastAPI
- Containerize services for development and testing with Docker
- Integrate large language model APIs with function calling for advanced agent behaviors
- Design and implement distributed microservice patterns to support collaborating agents
- Plan and prototype text vectorization features for future roadmap initiatives
- Build RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations
- Lead prompt engineering efforts and develop reusable prompt templates
- Author clear, maintainable code in Visual Studio Code using GitHub Copilot
- Document design decisions, workflows, and operational runbooks
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience in Python (10 years preferred)
What We Are Looking For
- Expertise in FastAPI and production-grade Docker workflows
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs via API, including function calling architectures
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservice design patterns
- Familiarity with text embedding and vectorization techniques
- Proficiency in RESTful API design and implementation
- Comfort using Visual Studio Code and GitHub Copilot as core development tools
- Solid foundation in prompt engineering and agent-centric design concepts
- Familiarity with agentic design concepts and orchestration patterns (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK)
