E-commerce Specialist
Position Summary
As the eCommerce Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the day-to-day performance of the brand’s digital storefront. This role is responsible for optimising the online customer experience, ensuring product and promotional accuracy across the website, analysing key trading metrics, and supporting the execution of onsite content and merchandising strategies. You will work cross-functionally with digital marketing, creative, merchandise planning, and IT teams to ensure commercial outcomes and an elevated brand experience across all eCommerce touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
1. Website Merchandising & Content Execution
- Own and execute online search and merchandising
- Ensure promotional campaigns and sale events are accurately set up and aligned with go-live timelines.
- Maintain navigation, ensuring a seamless and logical customer journey.
- Own and execute additional shoppable educational content pages to support key products
2. Trading & Optimisation
- Make data-informed recommendations to the trade team to optimise category performance, conversion funnels, and product visibility.
- Execute onsite changes such as homepage refreshes, collection updates, and product callouts.
3. Platform & CMS Management
- Operate the brand’s eCommerce headless platform Shipcode x Shopify and content management systems to maintain and update site content.
- Conduct UAT (user acceptance testing) and quality assurance checks before feature releases or content updates.
4. Collaboration & Campaign Support
- Work closely with digital marketing to support campaign rollouts, ensuring consistency across channels.
- Support email, social, and paid campaigns by ensuring accurate landing page links and aligned onsite messaging.
5. Insights & Reporting
- Assist in reporting on weekly and monthly website performance.
- Analyse user behaviour using tools like Google Analytics or Hotjar to identify friction points and opportunities for improvement.
Skills & Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in an eCommerce, digital merchandising, or online trading role.
- Hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce).
- Strong understanding of online consumer behaviour and trading levers.
- Proficient in using Google Analytics and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisation skills.
- Experience in fashion, retail, or fast-paced digital environments highly desirable.
